Giving the gift of your story to others

In Sharing Your Story, You are Giving a Gift of a Lifetime

Of all the gifts I’ve ever received in my 63 years, very few have left a lasting impression like hearing someone’s stories. It could be a tale of their birth, a spirited memory from their youth, or the story of how they fell in love with their partner. These stories are as varied as life itself—some are sad, some uplifting, some joyous, and some even frightening—but they all share one thing: they create a profound connection between the storyteller and the listener.

Likewise, I’ve been blessed with the ability to tell stories, both personal and fictional. Over my 40+ professional years, I’ve written novels, screenplays, business reports, marketing materials, and factual accounts. Storytelling is both my passion and my craft—a gift I’ve worked hard to refine. Today, I want to use this gift to help others preserve their stories, so they can give their loved ones the most enduring gift of all: a piece of themselves.

Memories shared through stories have a power far greater than any material object. They transcend time, connecting the past with the present and ensuring your essence lives on long after you’re gone. Unlike possessions that can be lost or fade in value, stories are enduring. They carry the emotions, wisdom, and experiences that define who we are. Books, in particular, hold a unique place among the ways we preserve stories. They are better than movies or photos because they don’t require any additional technology to experience them—they are portable, easy to hold onto, and remain understandable even as technology evolves. Reading is more personal than watching, a private connection between the storyteller and the reader, and it’s something most of us learn to cherish from a young age. A well-told story doesn’t just capture a moment; it weaves together the threads of a life, creating a narrative that can inspire, comfort, and resonate across generations. It’s through these stories that future descendants—those who may never meet you in person—can come to understand and connect with you in a deeply personal way. Stories are more than memories; they are bridges, legacies, and the most intimate pieces of ourselves shared with the world.

Besides a successful career as a writer, producer, and editor, about 15 years ago, I launched The Intrepid Editor Press Ltd. with a few trusted partners. We envisioned it as a boutique publishing company, dedicated to serving the needs of a select group of authors. Over the years, it has grown into something deeply personal for me, a way to contribute meaningfully to the community and leave behind a legacy of storytelling.

Out of this vision, we developed the Your Book About You project—a unique opportunity to preserve your life’s stories for generations to come. Using the tools and technology of today, we help you bring the past to life, creating a professionally crafted narrative that your children, grandchildren, and future descendants will treasure. Through personalized interviews, professional editing, thoughtful design, and comprehensive legal and technical support, we guide you every step of the way. The result is a beautifully published book that reflects who you are, where you’ve been, and what matters most to you.

Stories are the most meaningful gifts we can share. They are enduring, powerful, and deeply human. If you’re ready to capture yours, I’d be honored to help. Contact The Intrepid Editor Press to learn more about Your Book About You—let’s tell your story together.
